Renovation Capital Warranty covers against defects in the component parts of our cabinets, doors, bench-tops, taps, sinks and appliances as follows:

  • Cabinets and doors: any defects in materials and workmanship in the cabinet frame, doors, panels, drawer fronts, legs and Kicker Panels and Top Scribes.
  • The warranty is subject to the full terms and conditions set out in this document.

Renovation Capital Warranty

You are entitled to claim the Renovation Capital Warranty if:

  • You are the original purchaser and have kept the original purchase receipt or invoice, contract.
  • You have followed the product care instructions provided to you. If you have lost the care instructions, these are available upon request.
  • Your products have been fully paid for, at such time your warranty will start only once full payment is made of the contract value.
  • Our product has been installed by our own installers or Sub-contractors employed by Renovation Capital

Warranty Periods

The Renovation Capital Warranty starts on the date of purchase and install :

  • All melamine door fronts in all finishes – 7 year warranty
  • 2-Pac Polyurethane Painted Doors – 7 year warranty
  • Vinyl or thermolaminated Doors  7-10 Years Depending on Supplier
  • On all cabinets unless otherwise specified — 25 years (Limited Lifetime Warranty)
  • On all taps and sinks – will follow the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • On all appliances – will follow the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • On all glass splashbacks – 10 years, except, Custom printed splashbacks – 4 years
  • On all bathroom waterproofing – 10 years Warranty
  • Benchtops – All by Supplier Warranty – Given at time of Contract.

You will be unable to claim the Renovation Capital Warranty if:

 

  • Used inappropriately, abused, modified without our authorisation, maintained, or repaired incorrectly.
  • The product has been placed outdoors, kept in a humid environment, subjected to rapid changes in temperature or subjected to steam or excessive heat with incorrect usage or ventilation.
  • The product, component has been damaged by water or moisture that is no cause of renovation capital or its trades.
  • The property where our product has been installed has at any time after the date of purchase been rented to anyone for residential or commercial purposes.

 

GENERAL EXCLUSIONS

The following are not defects in our products and are not covered by the Renovation Capital Warranty:

  • Wear and tear.
  • Cuts and scratches that appear after product delivery by us;
  • Imperfections in the finishes or in the natural materials of sinks and taps;
  • Accidental damage.
  • Fading over time.
  • Failure to maintain and clean product in accordance with suppliers’ duty of care for the product.
  • Damage or deterioration due to exposure to salt water or salt air.
  • Rust when product is used outdoors.
  • Chipped tiles/benchtop after installation and handover.

 

You will be unable to claim the Renovation Capital Warranty if:

How can you claim the Renovation Capital Warranty?

If you wish to make a claim, please contact our Administration within the warranty period by telephone on (08) 9388-6667.

Please ensure you have the following information on hand:

  • Product details and defective part or product
  • Copy of your original purchase receipt or invoice, and contract.

 

Once a warranty is claimed what will Renovation Capital do next?

On being advised by you of the potential defect, we or our supplier will inspect the product to determine whether the Renovation Capital Warranty applies. Where you live outside a radius of 50km from our showroom location, if deemed not a defective part or product you will be responsible for the cost of the call out charge of $150.00 the cost for our team to travel to you, unless otherwise agreed with us.

If the Renovation Capital Warranty applies, subject to the exclusions and limitations described above, we will:

  • We will endeavour to either repair the defective component of the product or replace it with an identical component where available.
  • Renovation Capital will decide whether a component or the product is to be repaired or replaced. If an identical component of the product is not available, we will replace it with a component of similar value, style, and appearance.
  • Renovation Capital will cover the cost of repairs, spare parts, labour and travel to effect the repair or replacement.

If we are unable to access your property at the day & time arranged with you, then you will bear the call out fee mentioned above of $150.00 for us to return to carry out the work. You are responsible for any other costs related to claiming this warranty unless otherwise provided by law or agreed with us.

If you wish for a defective component of a product to be replaced with a more superior or expensive component or product that differs from what was originally installed and specified in your original agreement/contract.

We will do so on upfront payment of the difference between the component or product prices. The number of components, products we replace will be limited to the number we confirm are defective.

Any components and products that we remove to replace will become the property of Renovation Capital.

Our products, components and workmanship come with warranties that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law and regulations and guidelines of the HIA.
